Prescott Here We Are!

It has been a busy month.  We moved from Las Vegas on May 31st.   After a week long of packing and cleaning the moving truck was loaded and we were heading for our new home in Prescott, AZ.  We have so many wonderful friends that leaving Las Vegas was hard.  We went to sacrament meeting and then we had to quickly head for Prescott and our 6 PM walk thru on the new home.  Saying good-bye was extremely hard, and after church I realized it would have been much easier to just wake up and start driving and not have to say good bye.(Saying good bye is something I hate to do and avoid, because we will just see you later, right?)
June 1st we closed on the house and that afternoon we got the keys.  My parents drove up to pick up the kids so we could get the household goods on June 2nd.  On June 3rd my parents came back with the mini van loaded with tools to build shelves in closets.  Jared and his cousin Tyler came to help, but the other 3 kids stayed with my brother and sisters in Gilbert.  We spent the next four days building shelves in closets, so we could finish unpacking.  I love my pantry shelves and shelves in all the closets.  Thanks Dad and Kyle!  My brother Dave and his family came up Saturday with all the kids.  It is so great having family closer!
Since arriving in Prescott we have been keeping busy getting settled and jumping into activities.  Caleb attended Cub Scout Camp .  Caleb has also done a summer reading and math camp at his elementary school.  Lindsay loves swim lessons and  Jared and Colton are enjoying swim team at the Y.  Kyle started work after our week of unpacking and building shelves.   Kyle  is teaching the 14-15 sunday school class and I have been called as Cub Bear Leader and primary sub teacher.

Jared and Lindsay are sporting the cute cowboy hats they made at the Prescott Library.  The local library is awesome.  We go 1-3 times a week to attend the different activities they have.  The weekly afternoon craft time is my kids favorite!  These hats show our love for Las Vegas bling bling!   We also love the weekly movie at the park night.
This is Granite Mountain just out our back door.  Prescott has many qualities that remind us of Alaska and Eagle River.  Awsome hiking and biking trails.  Beautiful mountains and lots of trees.  Many lakes to kayak, canoe and fish (However, we went fishing at cub day camp, and it doesn't compare to AK fishing)  I'm looking forward to completing some of the home improvement projects so we can play and enjoy some trails this summer.

Cub Day Camp

Caleb had a great time a Cub Day Camp. I was able to go on Friday and had a blast. We went fishing, BB gun shooting, archery shooting, arts and crafts, first aid, cooking, and more fun. Caleb was awesome with a BB gun. The camp guide said Caleb was "Olympic shooting material". Way to go Caleb. This is Caleb's last year at Day Camp and a wonderful way to meet new scouting friends in Prescott.
